About Us: CASA of Westmoreland is a volunteer cbased organization providing a voice in the courts on behalf of abuse and neglected children. CASA assists the court to ensure the child's placement in a safe,permanent and nurturing home.

Opportunities: Serve as a fact-finder for the judge,establish a relationship of trust with the child,speak for the child in the courtroom representing the child's best interest. Volunteers continue as a "watchdog" for the child during the time a child is involved in the court system. Volunteers need to commit to a 30 hour training,court observation,and 12 hours per year of in-service training and be willing to commit to a child until permanency is achieved.

About Us: Catholic Charities provides a variety of services designed to meet the needs of members of the community. We are a state licensed adoption center and offer services through our pregnancy center. Our agency provides counseling services and connects the community with resources. We provide financial assistance to those in crisis,and we are advocates for social justice.

Opportunities: We need volunteers to staff our HelpLine. These volunteers take calls from our clients when our office is closed,from 5 p.m. to midnight,Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to midnight,on Saturdays,Sundays,and Holy Days. Our volunteers provide callers with information and resources. We ask all volunteers to commit at least a year's service with the agency because of the necessary training involved.
