SCRAPBOOK

WAVA recognized Jason Patton, a volunteer of Greensburg Salvation Army, at their recent Summer Training on June 23, 2010.

"Jason started volunteering with the Salvation Army about a year ago when he heard that we were in need of cooks and kitchen help for our feeding program (Sally's Place). He was more than willing to volunteer his services to help with whatever needed to be done.

Jason helps with anything from prep work to cooking, from washing dishes to running errands. He serves The Salvation Army well as in meeting the needs of others before him self. I'd also like to add that he has even painted our entire front lobby and now, his handiwork is seen by all who enter our facility.

Jason adapts easily into any situation, many times at a moments notice and asks for nothing in return. His eagerness to create meals and willingness to learn from others only serves to enhance his humble, honest, hard working and loyal nature.

We are truly blessed to have Jason as a volunteer and know that he is invaluable to us here at The Salvation Army with all that he does."
